Vintage French coat rack with brass details (sold)

Deze zeer elegante kapstok werd waarschijnlijk geproduceerd in Frankrijk waar je dit soort ontwerpen uit de jaren vijftig en zestig wel vaker tegenkomt.
Dit exemplaar is verfijnder gemaakt dan de wandkapstokken welke zijn gemaakt van holle buizen die je veel vaker tegenkomt.

De dunne messing staven aan de zijkant in combinatie met de zwarte staven en de rode houten bollen geven de kapstok een fraai voorkomen.
De originele spiegel zit er nog bij en aan de onderkant zit een ruimte voor het plaatsen van paraplu’s.

Let ook even op de leuke details zoals de rechthoekige messing blokjes die de staven op kun plek houden.

We hebben de kapstok niet gepoetst om het prachtige patina te behouden.
De kapstok verkeert in een goede staat, de spiegel heeft wat krasjes en vlekken maar is dan ook al minimaal 60 jaar oud. De rode houten bollen zitten nog goed in de lak en het messing heeft wat patina. De kapstok hangt met twee schroeven aan de muur.

Beautiful vintage modernist French wall mounted coat rack / coat stand with brass details.

This beauty was probably produced in the fifties or sixties in France. It is a very elegant hallway piece with brass and black rods with an integrated mirror and a umbrella stand. The red wooden balls are very reminiscent to the modernist French coat racks of that era.

The thin lines, the brass rods and square brass details on the top make it a very attractive piece for your interior.

It is in a good condition, there is no rust (except for a little bit of rust in the tray of the umbrella stand, which is removable) and some wear on the 60+ year old original mirror. We have kept the patina on the brass rods, they are bit more shiny on the top, toward they end they have a bit more patina. It can be polished and then the whole coat rack will shine like new.

This coat rack is fixed on the wall with two screws.
