Stylish and at the same time playful vintage Swedish design String wall system ‘The Ladder Shelf’ in light ash wood with two cabinets and 10 shelves in different sizes. One of the cabinets has a nice part with drawers.
The Swedish designer couple Nisse and Kasja Strinning designed this modular wall system in 1949 for a design competition for a public library. A few years later, the design was put into production by String Design AB. It’s a nice airy design.
This wall system is made of ash wood and consists of: 6 white uprights, 3 shelves of 30 cm x 80 cm, 2 shelves of 20 x 80 cm and 5 shelves of 20 x 80 cm, both cabinets are 30 cm deep, 78 cm wide and 42 cm high.
The total width of the system is 220 cm, the total height is 152 cm.
The wall system is in good condition with light signs of use.

Stijlvol en tegelijkertijd speels vintage Zweeds design String wandsysteem ‘The Ladder Shelf’ in licht essenhout met 10 planken en twee kasten, waarvan er één een leuk en handig gedeelte met lades heeft.
Het Zweedse ontwerpers echtpaar Nisse en Kasja Strinning ontwierp dit modulaire wandsysteem in 1949 voor een ontwerpwedstrijd voor een openbare bibliotheek. Een paar jaar later werd het ontwerp in productie genomen door String Design AB. Het is een mooi luchtig ontwerp.
Dit grote wandsysteem is uitgevoerd in essenhout en bestaat uit 6 witte staanders. Daarnaast zijn er 3 planken van 30 x 80 cm, 2 planken van 20 x 80 cm en 5 planken van 20 x 80 cm, beide kasten zijn 80 cm breed, 30 cm diep en 42 cm hoog.
De totale breedte van het systeem is 220 cm, de totale hoogte is 152 cm.
Het wandsysteem verkeert in een goede staat met lichte sporen van gebruik, geen vlekken of kringen.
